In 2009, our city conscientiously implemented the Scientific Outlook on Development, actively responded to the challenges of the financial crisis in accordance with the strategic deployment of maintaining stability, promoting harmony, and strengthening the city through industry, vigorously grasped structural adjustment, promoted transformation and upgrading, and achieved the development of industry and foreign trade against the trend. The total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size in the city reached 265.27 billion yuan, with profits and taxes of 19.08 billion yuan and profits of 11.18 billion yuan, an increase of 5.6%, 17.4%, and 35.7% respectively year-on-year, ranking among the top in the province in terms of growth rates in all three aspects; Completed industrial investment of 29.92 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.3%; Realize foreign trade exports of 8.6 billion US dollars, ranking second in the province in terms of growth rate; Achieved imports of 750 million US dollars, an increase of 28.8%, ranking first in the province; The actual introduction of domestic capital was 10.46 billion yuan, an increase of 21.3%, and the utilization of foreign capital was 400 million US dollars, playing an important role in promoting the stable and coordinated development of the city's economy and society.
